Mission: Shining light on underserved communities and causes, then catalyzes community action to create impact.

Founded by Susan Jackson, Beacon Catalyst grew from a passion for bringing community together around causes that matter. In July 2019 Susan begun combining fitness, her Caribbean heritage, and grassroots organizing of in-person events under the name QueB Events which was based in Ontario, Canada. It later evolved into Island Sweat Fitness (ISF) in October 2020 - an online fitness gym that mobilized communities even beyond Canada for disaster relief, local shelters, and underserved causes."With renewed clarity, Beacon Catalyst was formed in 2025 as a non-profit organization, designed to partner with community spaces, raise awareness, and drive action for causes that need support. The mission: Shine light on underserved communities. Catalyze community action. Create impact.

Hurricane Melissa Disaster Relief (Jamaica)Category 5 Hurricane Melissa struck Jamaica in October 2025, causing catastrophic damage across the island. As of November 1st, the death toll stands at 49 and continues to climb, with children among the victims. Communities have been devastated by flooding, home destruction, and widespread displacement. Most of the island remains without electricity, while ongoing landslides and flooding continue to threaten already vulnerable areas. Critical infrastructure was severely impacted, with at least five hospitals significantly damaged, including Black River Hospital (destroyed), Noel Holmes Hospital, Cornwall Regional Hospital, Falmouth Hospital, and Savanna La Mar Hospital - leaving communities without essential medical services when they need them most. The risk of waterborne diseases is rising in the aftermath, adding urgency to the crisis.Emergency supplies including food, water, shelter materials, and medical aid are desperately needed as affected areas work toward recovery and rebuilding.
